DANEX 06 

Exercise DANEX 2006 is a national Danish naval exercise with participation of foreign units.

Approximately 35 ships from 7 different nations will participate. Royal Danish Air force will also participate throughout the exercise with both T-17 and F-16, the German Air force will support with PA-200. Furthermore the Danish Army, National Homegaurd, Danish Emergency Management Agency and the Danish Police with various units will participate.

The exercise will take place in Skagerrak and Kattegat during the period 1- 14 of September.

The objective with the exercise is to train coastal operations in an out of area environment.

During exercise DANEX 06 coastal operations will be both the more traditional operations for a naval force (defence against other naval forces) and also the support to disasters relief and evacuation of civilians from conflict areas.

The purpose of the last mentioned operations is to train the cooperation and the coordination between land forces (Danish Army, National Homegaurd, Danish Emergency Management Agency and the Danish Police) and naval forces.
