The first, of the four Naval Home Guard vessels which participate in DANEX 06, has arrived in Odense. Until the start of the exercise ALDEBARAN will participate in “Under Sail For 1000 Years”, together with the Navy ships already present in Odense harbour.

Erling Lauth is engineer onboard and has been in the Naval Home Guard for seven years. In particular, he is looking forward to show  “his” vessel and to spread his story as a Naval Home Guard volunteer.

“It will be real interesting to tell people about life onboard, and usually people are very interested to hear about it” he reports.

ALDEBARAN has homeport in Kerteminde/Odense. Due to this they know about the event from former years, where the vessel has participated as a guard ship.
