DANEX 06:
The Danian Embassy in Odd Shire has suffered from an attack. Several of the employees are wounded and it is no longer safe for members of the Danian minority to stay in the area.

Everyone who has had the opportunity has left Odd Shire with civilian transportation. Now the situation has escalated to a point where this is no longer possible. Naval forces from Farawayland are now the last chance for safety.

This is in brief the scenario for the Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO). The part of the DANEX 06 that will take place on Sunday, September 10.

As part of DANEX 06 naval forces are to practice evacuation of civilians from crisis area. Sunday evacuation of embassy members is on the schedule whereof several are heavily wounded.

The evacuees are played by volunteers from the local area. Apart from them, 20 soldiers from the Home Guard act as Islandian rebels that try to drive the Danian minority out of the region.

The purpose of the exercise is to train the planning and execution of evacuation operations with short warning. Furthermore, the purpose is also to train coordination and communication between the Danish Navy, NATO forces and the Danish Army. Currently, The Royal Husars are on board the Danish support ship HDMS ESBERN SNARE. Already this evening they will be landed in a nearby harbour, from which they have to secure the area before hostilities break out Sunday morning.
