Here the support ship HDMS ESBEN SNARE embarked personnel and vehicles from the First Royal Hussars Regiment for later disembarkment in a fictive country to support and assist with evacuation of personnel..
After a smooth and quick embarkment of the Regiment, ESBERN SNARE sailed to the fictive landing site and was en route escorted by frigates from Standing NATO Response Force Maritime Group 1 (SNMG 1). After being escorted to the port of disembarkment (Naval Base Korsør) the Royal Hussars Regiment went ashore, fast and without any problems.

In connection with the embarkment of the Royal Hussars Regiment, new capabilities were tested both for ESBERN SNARE and for the Regiment. For ESBERN SNARE it was first time to perform a ‘tactical’ embarkment of personnel and equipment from the Army where they tested various procedures in connection with embarkment and securing of vehicles, ‘registration’ of personnel and arrival procedures.
For the First Royal Hussars Regiment and the Army in general it may be the first time an appointment parade has been held at sea, where Private J.M.L. Hansen was appointed Private 1st Class and Private 1st Class L. Wassmann was appointed Lance Corporal.
