After intense pressure from Dania and Swedlandia IMO establishes a maritime traffic control system, in order to gain control of the traffic passing through Great Belt and Kattegat.
Furthermore pilot assistance through these waters is made mandatory in order to protect the environment. Islandia refuse to acknowledge this traffic control system and claim it is a Danian attempt to harass the Islandian oil industry, the international maritime traffic and Islandian business in general.

Islandian Navy ships begin to stop and inspect Danian ships in international water claiming Dania import weapons in order to stage an attack on North Vendia and support the VR.

UNSC holds meeting discussing the developing situation between Islandia and Dania and condemn the Islandian visitations and ethnic cleansing.

Dania proclaim that their Navy will begin to escort Danian merchant shipping form Falsterbro L/H to the Skaw.

After a few weeks stand-down of the Islandian Navy, a Danian and Islandian patrol boat engage and sink each other in late July when the Islandian ship insist on boarding a Danian coaster suspected of carrying weapons intended for VR.

During an extraordinary meeting in UNSC the tension in the Vendian province, the series of naval engagement between Islandian and Danian forces and the VR terror activities are condemned, and UNSC conclude there has been a breech of the peace in the region. UNSC furthermore condemn the atrocities and ethnic cleansing in Odd Shire.
In light of this the UNSC decides to invoke UNSCR 5110, imposing a weapon embargo on shipping bound for Vendia. They furthermore requests NATO to deploy NRF naval unit to the area in order to uphold the peace in the region and enforce the embargo on Vendia. The SNMG1 is expected to enter the area on September 08 or 09.
Islandian government ships heavy armed troops, tanks and artillery to North Vendia to subdue VR, ignoring the terms of the ceasefire. Several reports indicate that Islandia move additional mechanized forces towards the deepwater ports of Hundested and Koege.
