They arrived by helicopter to the command ship THETIS where they were met by the Navy’s guard of honour.

Commander Danish Task Force, Commodore Palle Cortes, briefed SACT and Chief of Defence about his staff, exercise DANEX 07 and the future.

This included a possible task in Task Force 150 off the Horn of Africa.

After the briefing the guests got a guided tour on THETIS by the ship’s Commanding Officer, Commander s.g. Henrik Ryberg.

SACT and Chief of Defence were transferred from THETIS by rubber dinghy to ABSALON, the Navy’s newest and most modern ship.

Here they were received by Admiral Danish Fleet, Rear Admiral Nils Wang and Commanding Officer, Commander s.g. Per Starklint.

General Lance L. Smith will leave his post as Supreme Allied Commander Transformation in November 2007.
