During DANEX 07 the Polish submarine got technical problems and had to sail to Naval Base Frederikshavn to be repaired. In one of the diesel engines the V-belt in the cooling water pump had broken and needed to be replaced.

-It is not a big problem. In two or three hours we are ready to continue, says lieutenant commander Piotr Pawlowski. He is the commanding officer and reports that his crew does not see the small problem as an obstacle:

-We are all in good spirits and look forward to get back at sea and continue the exercise.
