As a part of DANEX 07 both equipment and personnel from the Danish Field Hospital was landed in Frederikshavn today.

Today Tor Line berthed in Frederikshavn. On board were 51 trucks with equipment for establishing a field hospital. It took about an hour to drive all the trucks of the ship. The trucks with the Field Hospital came on board yesterday in Korsør.

When Tor Line was empty, one of the big black landing craft from the British ship ALBION arrived at the harbour. On board were 90 doctors, nurses and medical assistants that are all belong to the Field Hospital. 

Also the Navy’s Military Police was there to escort the personnel and equipment to Jerup Strand, where the Field Hospital will be established during the day. The Field Hospital will be used on Monday, the 10th of September, during the disaster exercise DRO (Disaster Relief Operation).

The exercise will primarily take place on Jerup Strand and at the Naval Damage Control School in Hvims. Besides the Danish Field Hospital and the Danish, British, Norwegian and Polish units also the Army, the Danish Emergency Management Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Police and the Home Guard participate in the exercise.
