As part of Monday’s catastrophe exercise in the Northern part of Jutland, British fire fighters from HMS ALBION were sent into a burning ship. They were there to assist the Danish Emergency Management Agency in fire fighting in a ship.
- It’s 400 degrees Celsius in there, and we’re going in, the British operational commander reported back to ALBION. He could not hide his enthusiasm for the burning exercise ship. He later explained that this was a bit more violent than the normal, back in Britain.

Someone had it a bit too warm

For one of the British fire fighters the heat suddenly became too much. He had not covered his neck sufficiently, and therefore had to receive a very red neck. Not because he was exposed of flames directly but because of steam that quickly formed in the hot exercise ship.
The unlucky fire fighter quickly had his neck cooled down with water, and took it all with a slightly forced smile.
