It is a chilly, but beautiful September’s morning in Copenhagen. With a background of driftig clouds on a light blue sky, the ships participating in DANEX 07 are leaving Copenhagen harbour. Now they are going to sea to continue the exercise that runs until the 11th of September.

The ships are leaving the Danish capital after an eventful weekend-visit. Both on Saturday and Sunday afternoon a large number of people used the opportunity to get on board the ships and dip a little into the daily life of the Navy.

Now the ships glide out of the harbour one by one heading north. While the first part of the exercise mainly took place in the Baltic Sea around Bornholm, the ‘second half’ will be conducted in Kattegat and Skagerrak – including a disaster relief operation (DRO) north of Frederikshavn next Monday.
