He went aboard in Frederikshavn Tuesday morning and went ashore in a rubber dinghy Wednesday afternoon while THETIS was off Bornholm during Exercise DANEX 07.

– I want to visit all ships in the 1. Squadron. There are many, so it takes time. I often make the big decisions at my desk, but it is the crews who have to live with the decisions. Therefore I want to get my points of view confirmed or denied and who are better to do that than the crews, Jens Walther asks.

He is abundantly clear about the fact that he has gotten many good inputs during his stay on THETIS. The Captain has met with the various personnel groups and the ship’s divisions.

– THETIS has had a longer stay in dockyard this year and has a fairly new crew. Both these conditions affect the ships ability to solve its tasks, Jens Walther notes.

– I have with great joy seen for myself that you are doing well. That’s also the impression I’ve got through talks with Commander Danish Task Group, Commodore Palle Cortes, the Squadron Commander told when he said goodbye to the crew off duty in the ship’s helicopter hangar.
