History 

The NORDCAPS United Nations Military Police Course (UNMILPOC)
was established in 1969 as one of four Nordic United Nations courses, the other three being:

NORDCAPS United Nations Military Observers Course (FINCENT) conducted in Finland

NORDCAPS United Nations Logistics Course (NODEFIC) conducted in Norway

NORDCAPS United Nations Staff Officers Course (SWEDINT) conducted in Sweden

Aim

The aim of NORDCAPS UNMILPOC is to impart knowledge and attitudes to officers and non-commissioned officers to enable them to perform MP Officers' and Shift-Commanders' functions in a UN MP unit of a UN mission
