A penalty kick competition was necessary before the combined team from the Danish ships VIBEN and SKADEN could be declared as winner of the DANEX 08 football tournament. After ordinary playing time the result was a draw – nil-nil.

Good Danish goalkeeper work was absolutely essential for securing that both the title and honour went to the combined team from the two Danish ships.

The tournament was played at Aalborg Barracks with participation of seven teams. Divided into two groups the first games were played before the two group winners could meet in the final.
