In close cooperation with several NATO allies, the Danish frigate Esbern Snare has taken part in the exercise ‘Dynamic Mongoose’ to train anti-submarine warfare.

Once again, Denmark has taken part in the annual international exercise Dynamic Mercy together with a number of other NATO countries. Through realistic scenarios, they demonstrated that, in close cooperation, they are capable of carrying out complex rescue operations at sea.

The Danish defence will be conducting exercise Baltic Shield 2026 in close co-operation with Polish forces. The exercise will take place on Bornholm and in the Baltic Sea Region. The exercise will be highly visible for the public as it will involve activities at both land, sea and in the air.

Danish operators have participated in Exercise Cold Response, where complex air operations, Arctic conditions, and close multinational cooperation enhanced both operational capabilities and Alliance cohesion.

Over the coming weeks, Danish forces, Danish air control units and several Royal Danish Navy vessels will participate in the exercise Cold Response, which this year supports NATO’s overarching activity Arctic Sentry. The exercise contributes to strengthening security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic.

As part of exercise activities, a Danish Seahawk helicopter was transported last week by a French military aircraft from Karup Air Base to Keflavík, Iceland. The purpose was to train a more efficient relocation of Denmark’s maritime helicopter capability in cooperation with NATO allies.
