Around 50,000 Danish soldiers have been deployed in around 30 UN missions in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa since 1948.

Danish soldiers have been deployed as both unarmed observers and with larger or smaller Danish troop contributions. Both the Army, the Navy and the Air Force have had soldiers and units deployed under the UN's blue banner.
